what was the brief?

Impact Catering is a family run business supplying freshly prepared food in the greater Manchester area. They had outgrown their website and branding and needed help to relook at the approach and design of how they come across to their clients. Salamandra.uk was tasked to redesign their logo, website and create a friendly animation that would encompass what the business is about whilst giving an impression of the team.

what did salamandra.uk create?

We started with the creating the branding for Impact Catering, creating a number of options for a new logo, and a fun set of caricatures of the team.

These established characters formed the basis of the Impact Catering animation, telling their brand story and what they can offer to their customers. It was created in a hand painted watercolour style, emphasising the friendly family values and fresh feeling of the company.

Lastly, salamandra.uk created a new website for Impact Catering, to help them come across professionally, and to house their brand animation. The website allows them to manage content and add and edit menus as and when they need to.

what was our favourite part?

The whole project was a delight, but we especially loved the hand-painted watercolour effect of the animation.
